|We at Periodontal Surgical Arts, believe in the overall welfare of our patients but also advocate doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Following the mandate from Governor Abbott and the Texas Board of Dental Examiners, we are following distancing guidelines. This includes minimizing the number of patients and team members in the practice at one time. Also, patients are being treated one at a time on a personalized basis. We do require that patients wear face masks and screen themselves prior to visiting. Thank you for your understanding.|
Meet Dr. Litizzette
Dr. Nicole S. Litizzette is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology who has gone beyond the mandatory requirements of the specialty. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Baylor University. After college she moved to New York City where she attended Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Her interest in periodontics led her to San Antonio where she earned her specialty degree as well as a Master’s of Science from the UT Health Science Center.
Dr. Litizzette practiced in Knoxville, Tennessee for three years before moving to Austin, Texas. As a periodontist in Knoxville she worked in several general dentistry offices where she was the only specialist responsible for all periodontal concerns. Her practice focused on treating all levels of periodontal disease as well as implant dentistry.
In addition to earning her dental degree she was also involved in research studies looking at the association between diabetes in children and periodontitis.
In her spare time, Dr. Litizzette is busy with her three children. Her husband is a native of Austin and a commercial pilot. She enjoys traveling, cooking, scrap-booking, reading, biking, and spending time with her family.
