We at Periodontal Surgical Arts, believe in the overall welfare of our patients but also advocate doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Following the mandate from Governor Abbott and the Texas Board of Dental Examiners, we are following distancing guidelines. This includes minimizing the number of patients and team members in the practice at one time. Also, patients are being treated one at a time on a personalized basis. We do require that patients wear face masks and screen themselves prior to visiting. Thank you for your understanding. |
Laser Therapy![]() Since the laser continuously sprays out water, it keeps the tissues hydrated preventing heat and giving patients a virtually pain free experience with quicker healing! This laser can be used around implants, for frenectomy procedures, bone contouring, gum attachment procedures, crown lengthening (or gum lifting), and removal of infected, inflamed tissues. Because the laser energy emitted is below the threshold for pain, post-op discomfort is minimal. ![]() ![]() We are the first and only dental surgical specialists in Central Texas to have been trained and utilize the most advanced low level laser Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation (PBMT) laser, Thor Laser. The photochemical effect of LLLT has been well-documented since 1967 with over 4000 laboratory studies and 500 randomized controlled trials. In fact, on average, 30 papers are being published on LLLT each month. Its effects in humans and animals are like photosynthesis in plants. How does LLLT work? https://youtu.be/VzMJUxalkFo ![]() |
